News: 2 days agoThe Titans' key starters -- a group that includes Levis -- are not in line to play in Saturday's preseason game against the Seahawks, Jim Wyatt of the team's official site reports.

Spin: Per Wyatt, Malik Willis will get the start at QB versus Seattle, while Levis, who logged 14 snaps in Tennessee's preseason opener, is slated to be held out. It remains to be seen if Levis will take the field in the team's exhibition finale Sunday, Aug 25 against the Saints, but if not, his next game action won't occur until his looming Week 1 start against the Bears.

ESPN Fantasy Projection: Levis is the incumbent starter for Tennessee heading into his second season. The front office spent the offseason seeking to support its young quarterback with a scaffolding built on proven veteran skill players. Levis topped 15 rushing yards just once in nine starts last season, and without much of a rushing resume in college, most of the fantasy value he develops will have to come from the pocket. A retooled offensive line and improved receiving corps work in his favor, but expectations remain tempered given his inexperience and a shaky first go in the NFL. This all reads like Levis makes for a fun, boom-or-bust, late-round investment for fantasy managers in deeper leagues.
