Fantasy Football
News: 2 days agoVikings head coach Kevin O'Connell said Thursday that Addison (ankle) did not suffer a major injury during Wednesday's practice, when the receiver was carted off the field, Kevin Seifert of ESPN.com reports.
Spin: O'Connell noted that he doesn't envision Addison missing extended time, though the second-year wideout looks likely to sit out Saturday's exhibition contest against Cleveland. Addison could be a candidate to return in time for the Vikings' preseason finale at Philadelphia on Aug. 24, though it'll depend on how quickly he gets back on the practice field.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Addison had some ups-and-downs in his rookie season. Playing with four different QBs and taking over WR1 responsibilities while Justin Jefferson was out, Addison turned in seven performances with at least 15 fantasy points, third most among rookie wide receivers. Most impressively, his 10 touchdowns were tied for fourth most among all wideouts. Expect those touchdowns to come down with Jefferson fully healthy and Kirk Cousins in Atlanta. While super-talented, Addison is the No. 2 pass-catcher for a rookie QB at arguably the deepest position in fantasy football, so it's best to view him as a WR4 or WR5 entering draft season.
