ESPN Fantasy Projection: It isn't easy playing second fiddle to Travis Kelce. Chiefs No. 2 tight ends have averaged 40.1 fantasy points the past eight seasons, even with Noah Gray clearing 70 in each of the past two. Smith's 2023 statistical downturn, however, makes him a tough sell as anything more than an in-season pickup in the event of a Kelce injury. After all, Smith, in his one season in Cincinnati, averaged his fewest fantasy points per game (2.8) and yards per route run (0.6) of his career. He has also missed 34 games in his five-year career, either due to injury or as an inactive.
